Thanks for all the input guys. I don't feel as if I can't help myself; I just am not sure how just yet. I am stressed about college, but I have good self-esteem (not a school outcast, fat or lazy). And I'm definately not an action junkie, I don't mind playing micros at all ,in fact grinding fits me pretty well. Oh, and just to add, I do currently have a job at brookstone.

You are good enough to play higher. Your bankroll does not support that. However, your subconscious rebels and every now and again gets the better of your conscious rational mind. Get some kind of means to give you a bankroll or give up playing the micro limits altogether. Me? I got a job and play bigger and more profitably then ever before...

Well, Brookstone pays 7$/hour, but I have to pay for gas, college (Soon), insurance, phone, etc. Any suggestions on saving/getting some scratch together to get a decent BR?

Would anyone like so see some of my hands from .5/.10 and then some from 1/2$?

OP, I'm 30 and have the same problem

It is harder to control than you realize. I still have those "playing out of body" type sessions where I can't seem to quit. The difference is I have them much more infrequently now. My goal is to stop having them altogether.

What it comes right down to is that you, like 95% of the posters here , whether they admit it or not, have a compulsive gambler in you. The challenge is learning to control it to the point where it almost doesn't exist anymore.

maybe you shouldn't allow yourself to be emotionally disturbed by a $10 loss.

Some gamble is good, though. Everyone I know who made it big in poker had more gamble in them than logic might say was best. I for one don't think the kid made a mistake by taking a shot at 1/2. It just didn't work out. He's obviously sharp and analytical, so he just needs to get a little experience under his belt and try again. Going micro-bust a few times in college beats the hell out of doing it in your 30s.

BTW, I'd be glad to look at a few key 1/2 hands that got you broke.

I wasn't so much disturbed as just felt a need to get it back in quick fashion.

EDIT: I'll go ahead and post a few key hands that I played.

These are the only hands that I feel I played truly horribly, there were others I played very well but they are saved on another computer. I will try to find these; as they are the hands that I would really like advice on.
