Thats not too bad, it seems like it would be better to set up a payment plan and pay it off than to have FUBAR credit. I can't really talk though, because my credit is for [censored].

the zoo gets a lot of similar threads. People ask what they should do, responders say they are the scum of the earth, blame them for terrorism, rape, murder, bullying, religion, and everything else bad in the world.

Then we never hear from them again.

I'm yet to hear any confirmations on the whole 'shot credit / broken knee caps' theory.

society patholigizes/medical'izes behaviour it finds inappropriate. GA is not a sickness. You made stupid decisions and are facing the consequences. Stop trying to pass off blame.

P.S. Option B.

As much as I hate to say it, you aren't going to jail. At least not for this.

I had a friend do the same thing on Party Poker maybe four years ago.

They resent the monies to his bank over and over for about a year, then let the matter drop.

Please if your friend feels suicidal, PM me and we can chat on the phone.

Peace and I hope to hear from you.

I really wouldn't say compulsive gambling is a sickness because it's not even physically addictive. At least alcoholism or something physicallly alters your body making you "ill" by some definition. Compulsive gambling is a purely psychological addiction and as such is just something stupid that you do, not a disease.

I've got some tendencies toward compulsive gambling myself, but I've forced myself to control them, got good at poker, and now gamble professionally for a living. Not saying that this is the right direction for you (it's obviously not), just that gambling addiction is something that it is possible for you to control on your own, not a disease that you can't.

I'm not saying this to try to make you feel bad though. I do understand that this is a problem that is very difficult to control and wish you the best of luck in the future. You don't deserve to die, you're just someone who [censored] up and will hopefully do better in the future. Remember, most of the time, problems that look really serious now will look really trivial in a year or so.

I also find it funny that poker forums are generally so hostile toward problem gamblers when so many of us make our livings off of them. Seriously, you think the games on Stars are bad now? If it weren't for compulsive gamblers, they'd be about 100x tougher. I'd say that 90% of the money in the poker economy comes from people who can't really afford to lose what they're gambling with.
