Re: Is KTo utg profitable, according to your stats?
When I checked my stats on K10o + raised first in, I was winning .32BB/hand, which I thought quite good. This was over 110 occurences in a 40K stretch over the last 40 days. Then I looked at KJo + raised first in, a hand I do raise UTG, and I'm losing .23BB/hand over 140 occurences in the same 40K stretch, and realized that w/o probably at least 1000 occurrences, both statistics were worthless.
I think the key to raising hands like K10o UTG are your opponents and table image. The more you can get this hand HU the better, the more poor cold callers, the worse you are going to do. Post flop play is very critical as well since you will often being playing this hand OOP if you are raising UTG. |

Re: Is KTo utg profitable, according to your stats?
I profit with KTo utg, but its thin.
I think the correct way to play this and all marginal hands preflop is based on table image like wackjob said. If you have a tight image, throwing this one in is going to be profitable. If it just so happened you've been getting a lot of good cards and playing a lot of hands, muck it. The same goes for marginal hands in any other position, and blind stealing. If you haven't stolen a blind in ages because you haven't caught a typical stealing hand, and a marginal one shows up, by all means steal. |

Re: Is KTo utg profitable, according to your stats?
Pokerroom has or used to have all the stats, big enough sample; tells exactly what hands are profitable in the hands of an average player and in an average situation, seat by seat, limit by limit.
