Re: Give me a line for value
OK, maybe I am just not getting it, why do we go for c/r's instead of just betting out.
BTW, I kinda screwed the original post up. Im villian in the hand and the 60/30 is hero. Im a 26/18/1.5. I call down w/ JJ. |

Re: Give me a line for value
you can just bet out i guess, we cr just becuz we expect the capper to bet whatever he capped with. i also think alot of the time we cr the flop he 3bets there and we can cap/ cr the turn/ bet 3bet the turn, or he calls and raises the turn with his overpairs so we can 3bet there which gets in more bets than if we bet3bet the flop and he calls down (but the same if we bet call a raise then cr or bet3bet the turn or bet the flop and get to bet3bet the turn more or less).
as for preflop button raises, sb 3bets, whats hero's play w/ JJ. vs a 60/30 its a cap i think for sure how about if we change both players to tags? |

Re: Give me a line for value
Well what does calling 2 cold out of the BB with TAG stats mean? Pretty big pair I'd guess

Re: Give me a line for value
it doesnt tighten up ur range much more than capping to call 2 cold in the BB but yeah it gets noticed for sure and narrows down ur holding to not AA KK or QQ most likely but still leaves maybe 77+ AJs+ in their eyes.
against two tags i cap here, or any two players with some decent level of preflop aggression. I could see maybe mucking if the sb was a super passive who cold calls AK AQ and hardly ever raises preflop let alone 3bets oop but i cant construct many other instances i wouldn't be playing my hand. Maybe something could be said for calling and seeing whether the button caps or just calls to get some more info on his hand and leave the initiative with the sb who u have position on. just curious how people felt about this spot. |

BTW, I kinda screwed the original post up. I call down w/ JJ. [/ QUOTE ] Then don't bet that Q river unless you intend to fold to a check/raise. |
