Sounds to me like the bet will stay the same but the buy-in will be increased, making it play bigger.

Also, the game will be even more dictated by the spread-limit format and will play less like a NL game. This is good news for people that understand that spread-limit games are not no-limit games, as most of the 5-150 players that are trying to play well are parroting what they think is good NL poker.

QUESTION:

Any CAZ spread limit players care to right an article on the game structure for the 2+2 magazine?

Depends on what you/they are looking for, there is not too much to the structure of the game. If you want PM me and we can "talk" about it.

Send a PM to Dynasty, spread limit games are rarely discussed - its a structured format that many people don't understand how to beat - especially at the 5-150 or bigger levels (myself included)

If I recall correctly the legal maximum per bet is $150, its mandated that way and CAZ cannot change it willfully.

[/ QUOTE ]

Correct. But there is a provision in the gaming compact to adjust the maximum bet limits on the 5 year anniversary. The limits are multiplied by the CPI adjustment rate. The compact was effective in 2003 (early in the year I believe) so while it's not going to change soon, there should be an increase next year. Not much, though.

I'd write one. I'm no spread-limit genius -- IIRC J_V and some others on these boards would put me to shame several times over with their technical spread-limit knowledge -- but I'm a mathy common-sense type that could probably write a digestible, useful intro-level article.

Go for it Nate. The more I think about it the more I think I don't want my dirty laundry hanging in public view.
