I actually played it perfect.

Not.

And I'm not talking about pre which is fine.

[/ QUOTE ]

If we are gonna talk strategy here, only worse options pre is folding. Limping (suited) aces on button is really bad. (Im to tired to figure if BT was joking or not)

Im not fan of flop slowplay either, he reopen betting for you when you have a semishort stack, so do what he want, pot.

blopp,

Well this strategy talk is kinda high content and not what this thread is for, but I never see a problem with limping with AA in any position even for an open on the buttom *occasionally*. Mixing things up includes not just raising with other hands as well, but also limping with big ones. I've won some of my biggest pots with AA by either limping or smoothcalling another raise with same and stacking middle set with a set of As on a drawing board, as I'm sure have most players.

The other thing about limping with AA, even in position, is that it allows you to more often keep the pot small and win a nice small/medium pot when you don't hit the board hard, where if you bloat it you are more likely to get run off the best hand postflop when they put you on one pair.

And note that although he is short compared to the other stacks, he's not supershort where a raise will let him get the rest in on the flop.

Ill make it short. I love deception. And I regulary smoothcall single raises with aces or limp ragged aces behind limps. And won the set over set pots we all love.

Still, not raising here is criminal. Its a shorthanded plo game with a button open (or in fact limp). Heros opening range should be alot wider then AAxx. My eyes hurt reading that hh.

The difference with aaxx in general and here is so big. If we dont want to raise here, cause we might loose a "big" pot, go for play money games. Fearing they will assign hero on a pair and making us fold best hand is retarded.

Blopp,

What is your range of hands that you raise with in the big blind here?

And if you hit your flop, what is your action and is it opponent dependent?

Crushin,

Those 22% chances are supposed to come in 22% of the time.

Are you saying stars is rigged and 22% chances come in more often?
