I would just like to throw it out there that I got the pizza stone for AEKDBet's Chair, not my mom.
He is now in the doghouse. Not helping the situation any, he also made this comment: "I want you to go to the grocery store and buy all the ingredients and come back and make the dough while I sit here and play Halo." So not happening. |

I've always assumed it's one of the many items that Pampered Chef has duped women into buying. No offense AEKD. I'm open to opposing viewpoints. [/ QUOTE ] your wife might not be heating the stone up, the point is to stick the stone in the oven, while its preheating/hot, so the stone gets to be as hot as possible, then put the pizza on it. Pizza is best in the hottest oven possible, like 800 degrees, the stone helps to bring the heat directly to the pizza. |

What about DiGiorno? Actually she makes chocolate chip cookies on it as well. Guids - Not sure about the preheating. I'll look into that. I just feel like I'm missing out on some magic here. |

Precooked frozen pizzas are not the issue. I just got a stone as well, need a report on the dough-making process. |

Dudes - pizza stone is best used for fresh dough, not frozen pizza. Thought this was already assumed, but apparently there is some confusion.
