i dunno, i like playing big pots when i'm likely to have the best hand. any ace calls a bet, KQ/KJ and [censored] like that calls a bet. AA/KK/AK reraise pf, as does TT a good % of the time. so AT/QJ are the only hands i'm really worried about. plus we have a draw to the nuts. [/ QUOTE ] i like playing big pots too but not when our hand is like this. this is a WA/WB situation. we have so many hands drawing very thin to 2 or 3 outs. some hands that might peel a turn is a hand like JJ that we beat. i doubt many aces are going to be paying off bets. its a spot to let others do the betting but not let the pot get too big. our hand isnt as strong as you believe it is IMO |

I don't know what kind of image OP has, but I get called at least 2 streets by any ace. And saying JJ peels a turn is precisely another reason why I bet, cuz JJ sure as hell ain't betting this flop for me.

but JJ is only one hand opposed to the slew of other hands that call us that beat us. im not betting this unless i know for a fact that the villains pay off with bad aces all the time. betting folds what we beat and gets called only by things we dont beat, with the slim call occasionally from JJ and AJ. maybe A8A9 peels one here but i think its very rare and hed have to be a fish which were not sure of yet.

What are the slew of hands that beat us?? Furthermore, if he's calling a utg raise with A9/A8, why would he fold now? He's got top pair! I assume all players to be idiots until proven otherwise.

qj, a10, ,k10, ak, 1010, and sometiems AA,KK.
the other logical holdings he can have just arent going to be paying us off here |

Novles is right, not betting a hand here that is likely the best is horrible. Don't worry about what hands will call that you beat, plenty will and for the most part when they do you will still be ahead.
I know the board is a little scary but not betting is far too weak. |

I assume all players to be idiots until proven otherwise. [/ QUOTE ] me too but that doesnt mean we need to play a huge pot with one pair because they are idiots. |

the board isnt drawish. its rainbow. we are not protecting our hand against much and maybe against 2 known donkey villains where im sandwiched between them i wouldnt mind building a pot up. i personnally just think we fold out way too much that we beat.

i personnally just think we fold out way too much that we beat. [/ QUOTE ] This obsession with folding out hands that we beat costs us money in many spots. Sometimes you just have to bet and if both want to fold then great, the last thing we need on this board is having to face a difficult decision 3 way OOP. Trying to play it tricky in this spot OOP 3 way is not good poker. |
