Re: 5CD: i play 20k hands, now what? move up, or multi-table?
Curious: Anyone ever try and get some of their local rooms to spread a 5cd game? Think of how many of us played 5cd when we were really litle with our families playing with pennies or really old style chips.

it's probably worth realizing that if draw were popular, then i wouldn't be an above average player. the people with 3-figure IQ's would take it over like whoa.

Re: 5CD: i play 20k hands, now what? move up, or multi-table?
If I were you I would multi table and look for loose tables... totally do 30/60 if it's a loose table.
I hope poker.com helps things. I also think that the more we promote draw, even as teachers, the more good players, and therefore bad players there will be. If a bad player gets a little bit of knowledge he may think he's an expert, and we can exploit how he plays. Unfortunately 5CD is tough to beat when everyone is playing correctly. Michael Wieserman said that in Cali when 5CD was big yo ucould make like 1 BB/100 at a high limit table ifyou were great. I like to be one of the better players at something, even if I make more money playing Omaha. |

i think you guys are wrong about draw
i can say there is no variance in draw because i (like several of you who seem to have forgotten) have played lots of some other game and experienced much worse swings draw has considerable complexity - if your in a game where no-one is stupid pre-draw there is still plenty of edge in being the best to adjust to the way your opponent plays stripsqueez - chickenhawk |

i can say there is no variance in draw [/ QUOTE ] That is a ridiculous statement. Just because you might not have experienced a downswing in draw since you started playing six weeks ago doesn't mean there is no variance. |

I think to make good money at draw you'd have to play all the time and be the best, but if you're that good you could probably make more if you applied your skills to hold em'. I just play more draw because I'm not very good at regular holdem stuff |
