Limping AA on the SB - does everyone else like this? I got stacked by a guy who limped KK from the SB yesterday, so I guess this can work well.

What are people's opinions?

I think it wasn't good play from me. You need to build a pot and put your opponent's at at least some range. I limped because I read it somewhere that you should limp monsters in SB en BB, but I misremembered. You should just call raises from SB w/ AA/KK sometimes/often.

The K8 hand where you limped from SB and called the min raise. I think you could have donked on the flop there and folded to action from the BB. I hate those situations, being out of position with a marginal hand is a horrible thing.

Doyle Brunson talks about limping in with AA and KK.

a)He is talking about UTG;
b)He is talking about full ring;
d)He is assuming you are playing good players;
e)He is assuming there is going to be a raise somewhere on the way.

None of the above applies to your case. If you ever read anywhere anyone saying that you should limp in with AA on SB in SH game, stop wasting your time on the book.

With the JJ hand where you were on the SB, and HoTStePPa (lol) was on the BB and UTG was in too, if one of them puts in a big reraise on the flop of 567, what do you do?

Phew. As I said in the opening post, I suck at handling situations where playah's are aggro. I think one of them could very well raise a pp<JJ, but they also might have a lone 8 or even twopair/straight already. Tough spot I think. I don't remember my reads on them correctly or their stats. I think I would call and reevaluate, but this might be a very weak play.

I really don't know what to make of aggro plays sometimes. Take this hand:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($58.65)
SB ($73.81)
BB ($13.03)
UTG ($79.68)
Hero ($89.15)
CO ($16.15)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG raises to $2, Hero raises to $6.5, 4 folds, UTG calls $4.50.

Flop: ($13.75) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets $4, Hero calls $4.

Turn: ($21.75) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets $11, Hero calls $11.

River: ($43.75) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets $25, Hero calls $25.

Final Pot: $93.75

The guy had 77 and MHIG.
