Re: Norwegian man gets arrested for scamming

It is about $60k, however the police says that additional charges probably will be put forward, but it does not state clearly if that is more fraud or something else. [/ QUOTE ] 500k NOK is about $80k. |

Does not seem likely since he has not confessed, my gut feeling tells me the police have gotten some info from the site since they know who owns the accounts the chips were dumped into or alternatively he may have accessed the different accounts from his computer and they have found magnetic traces. Don't know, more info to come probably during the trial. |

Re: Norwegian man gets arrested for scamming
[ QUOTE ]
In the US, our police prefer to not get involved unless there's potential to shoot the suspects. The again, any suspected crime is a good enough excuse for our cops to batter down the door and come in guns a blazin'! I guess it's only a matter of time before US cops murder someone suspected of online poker fraud. [/ QUOTE ] Do you really believe this? |

Re: Norwegian man gets arrested for scamming
Wait, why hasn't anyone heard from Eric Jones lately?
I sure hope he didn't get the cops called on him for scamming at Full Tilt.. Our fine officers have made mistakingly shot unarmed suspects before. Sometimes they accidently shoot them over and over and over. |

Re: Norwegian man gets arrested for scamming
Just to add a little, the same suspect has said in a MSN chat with around 20 other people that he robbed two illegal poker clubs in Norway, both armed robberies. In the same chat, he said he was the biggest scammer ever, and wanted to borrow $150 from several people. Talk about a lost cause.
