Lots of skyscraper/big building type places have 24 hour security and that consists of a guy sitting in the lobby pretending to watch some monitors and waking up occasionally to say hello or goodbye in the middle of the night to some straggler office worker. If you can handle the hours, lots of students find this perfect say to do homework, or play poker all night. The demands on them are close to non-existent.

I've been searching google ad nauseum for security, no experience required, graveyard shift, and haven't been able to come up with anything. If anyone could help it would be appreciated. San Diego area.

Also, I am currently a senior in high school. When they say HS diploma or GED equivilent, they are out of the picture for me, correct?

Look in the local paper's classified section. There are always openings for security guards because the turnover is so high in that mind-numbing job. If you have 7 fingers, one eye and can at least mumble you'll get the job.

True, they often hire ex-cons, they're so desperate. They're willing to take the chance the ex-cons will commit crimes right on the premises.

I think that really really depends on where local is. I wouldn't suggest it at mine, and I don't even live a terrible neighborhood.
