Default Re: NL25 - KK gets bet into with A on flop

At that point I probably only had about 20 hands on him, so I didn't have much of a read. After 60 hands he c-bets 66% of the time.

Once you give him credit for the ace, do you automatically let it go, or with the size of the pot try to rep AA/AK?

Thanks for the feedback.

If you put him on an Ax, just fold.

If that's the case... sometimes call, sometimes raise, sometimes fold... I think I might raise here if you've seen him fold to a flop raise of his c-bet before.

And yes, calling here is bad. Raising is okay. And if he cold calls your raise or re-raises, obv. fold.

Why is calling out of the question? Raising is spew.

reverse implied odds, raising>calling anyway, defines your position in the hand and might save money on later streets. folding>>>>>>>>>>&gt ;>>>>>>raising though.

If we're raising, are we raising for value or bluffing? What better hand folds and what worst hand calls?

Unless we have reads I really don't like outright folding to a single donk bet here. His range is much wider than Ax. I'm calling at least one time.

im not suggesting we should raise I think anything other then folding is bad, I just think raising is better then calling. It's not really for value, more of a blocking bet/bluff (weak aces might fold), to try and see a cheap showdown, I guess, idk I would never (very rarely) raise here.

Only had around 20 hands with villain when this one took place, so didn't consider his stats much. After 60 hands, which I know still isn't much, villain is 37/21/5.6.

Only read on him was the earlier hand that he folded PF after I put in a big reraise. That was only a few hands earlier, so I'm not sure how he viewed me.

A raise isnt for value or bluffing, it is to figure out if the villain is making some kind of play as described a few posts above by restrikt.

I understand the point some of you have made about thinking before you act, etc. but youd need a pretty good read on a random nl25 player to give them credit for leading into this flop with air after the PF 3bet.
