[ QUOTE ]
This is a limped pot, the SB can have anything here calling $3 more after two limpers. [/ QUOTE ] I was giving him credit for not being a total donk. [ QUOTE ] A 6 that became full or a flush is certainly possible. You don't beat much but air on the river, the best you can do is chop any other 6. If you called because of a solid read and a line assessment, then thats one thing, but this looks like you flopped trips didn't feel like folding. [/ QUOTE ] This looks like a hand that is anything other than trips. |

I like the river bet and happily call the raise.

What hands to you beat theat made it on the River apart from a bluff? You have to have confidence in your player-read to be sure that he's def donking off here with nothing.

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] What better hand am I going to have on this river [/ QUOTE ] You are representing nothing at all here. The flush card hits on a paired board. Opponent has shown no strength. It looks like he has something like top pair, and he is going to take a free showdown. Why would you check with anything better? Or if you put him on a flush and you can beat it, why not lead again and hope to get raised? Also, it is very tough for you to be full here cuz you'd need something ridiculously trashy like J6, or you would have needed to slowplay a big pair pf. [/ QUOTE ] If he has something like top pair then he's not calling a river bet. If he has a flush or trips then he will bet. So, checking a ffull here is sweet. I could certainly be full with A6. I could also reasonably checkraise with the nut flush bc Iknow that he's not full given that the action more-or-less rules out A6 for him. If I put out a substantial bet on the river then he has to be slightly crazy to raise me with a flush so I would either cr or make a 'blocking' bet with some given frequency. [ QUOTE ] This looks like a hand that is anything other than trips [/ QUOTE ] I also had 86. |

So you were bluffing with your trips and berated him when he called and split?? I don't get this.

What's not to get? He is playing a 6 with the board, while his hand certainly is trying to look bigger than a naked 6, and hopefully fold out another naked 6. Granted your question does have some value, as now I'm not sure whether this was a move or he wanted to be called, but I could see the annoyance in not folding out the same hand here.

Hi Jamougha,
[ QUOTE ] I could also reasonably checkraise with the nut flush bc Iknow that he's not full given that the action more-or-less rules out A6 for him. [/ QUOTE ] I call BS. You would never CRAI with the nut flush after he bets 90. If you would, then the line you're claiming you actually took (CRAI to bluff out trips or a flush) is BS. |
