Well I guess I discovered something new about myself, I'm way way way to scared of flush draws. Must be a left over from my 25nl days where everyone and there mother was drawing with flush draws...

Ps. Those 25 NL days are like 2 months ago or so.

Edit; I think I need to move down again, perhaps I ain't ready for 200nl yet...

Sorry, but there is NOTHING wrong with folding this hand. With no reads, and a rather weak betting plan while out of position, I don't think you necisarily hurt yourself by folding here. Just because a bunch of 2+2er's say "instacall" doesn't mean this guy wasn't holding Ax suited and hit his flush.

Don't move down because you folded a hand........Learn to play to your strengths and weaknessess. If you know you are too fearful of calling flushy board raises, then bet more on a turn like this to price the flushies out........

Change your style, not your game. Good fold...........

FREEE

I don't like PF.
Bet bigger on the flop.
As played I guess I call but I don't like it at all.

WTF.

So because he COULD have had a flush, it makes folding right? You're insane.

Bad fold. PF ugly. Yada yada. Basically what everyone has been saying except the last guy.

I bet 15$ on the flop...I mistyped. Shouldve bet more on the turn though.

Preflop is fairly standard for me actually. People limp a lot of junk OTB/sb that they fold to a raise and/or c-bet. I raise a lot of hands in these type of spots actually and I've been taking it down preflop/flop a lot...

river fold is not as bad as some ppl are implying. lots of hands that you are looking for value from will typically check behind - a set isn't betting, two pair isnt betting, overpair isn't betting... he either has a straight, a flush, or nothing.

i think the only way a hand like naked A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] gets there is if he peeled a hand like AK or AQ, but he would have raised preflop. so i dont think he called turn with a flush draw.

i dont like the check though, the hands that check behind will typically pay off.

Read the post dude......You can't say "bad fold" and "PF ugly" in the same sentence - the two are intricately connected. As played, the fold is not a bad play. If played correctly on earlier streets, you're in a different spot and the discussion doesn't really exist.....

What DustBuster says has more merit than your lousy "only one way to think about this hand" advice.

..........Let your understanding of yourself and your limitations play into your decision-making on earlier streets and you won't find yourself here...................And you can't kick yourself for folding here, because he never showed!

This is analogous to saying folding AA on an A8832 board isn't a bad move.
