Random question: what's the set you'd most likely lay down, if there was one? I'm thinking TT on a QJT suited flop.

[/ QUOTE ]

this question is really dumb for like 20 reasons.

Is this not a fold leaving you with 30BB? You likely have the best hand at the moment, but unfortunatly, the BB has bloated the pot for some reason and there are no draws you can fold with that flop bet.

What about check/calling the flop and reevaluating to get to show down cheaply here, OR just get it all-in first on the flop (if you plan to call anyway), and put the pressure on the BB/MP1. At least you may get a couple of non-nut draws to fold that way.

im almost positive ive never folded a set on the flop in a sng.

Ya I'm pretty sure folding a set on the flop with <100bb's s pretty much always bad.

LOL. me either. I actually posted a similar response to someone else earlier this week. I was just thinking that if there was ever a spot to fold a set on the flop in a SNG it would be something similar to this spot but w/ a stack closer to our starting stack.

Haha it was me! my turn: dont you know we dont fold sets on the flop in sngs .

honestly though if you were deeper i could see a fold here, although i dont know about in a 6-man.

JSH06, I think your stack would need to be at least 1,500-2000 before you even consider folding here....plus I would want a read that the all-in player is not a donkey....even if your stack was 1000, it'd be a pretty easy call.

I think i can fold bottom set in a spot with more chips behind. We are playing a 76$ not a 5$ playmoney!
Of course you have to do the math, cause you still have boat-outs, but you can`t assume that both guys are donkeys. Ugly spot, but if the math doesnt tell you anything different (sry, to lazy to do that now you can fold that unrepentent _

I dont intend to be mean, but i think your advice is not good in this point. you loose much value by pushing your set. Actually you want a Flushdraw to call, but not a made flush...I agree that you "LIKELY" have the best hand, but not definitely.
Of course you have to call here, but if I`d be deeper and opponents are not total donks, i can see a fold.

in General: If you are ahead you actually dont mind a big pot...if villain doesnt get the right odds to chase whatever
