yes, giants are often caused by tumors growing next to the pituitary(sp?) gland interefering with it and causing growth hormones to be continuously released to the body. This is how Goliath died, David hit him with the slingshot right between the eyes on the pituitary gland where it hemorraged(sp?) into the brain because of the tumor. It can be cured just by removing the tumor.
