Agree w/ Haian- +EV rate with AA over time will be around 3 ptbb. [/ QUOTE ] Try this - any time there's any preflop action of >= a raise and call, just shove pf with rockets. You'll achieve much higher than 3ptbb's this way. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] my standard open raise is 3 1/2. my standard reraise is 3x. [/ QUOTE ] n00b [/ QUOTE ] that was helpful. [/ QUOTE ] more helpful than me not saying anything at all [/ QUOTE ] really? is there something wrong with open raising 3 1/2x? i know quite a few successful players that make that their standard opening raise. and 3x for reraises seems reasonable. i was asking if others have a different approach. the other question couldn't be simplier. any winning 6max n/l player can just look in poker tracker and tell me what they have for winning % and bb/100 with AA. Mine is 99% and 8 bb/100 over the 102 times i have had AA since switching to n/l. that seems very high to me. so i originally thought i was playing them too fast. however, i now think i'm probably just running well and not doing anything wrong. |

I think he is just commenting on how you seem to be thinking in terms of rules, rather than what the situatoin dictates. Like how some people have pf charts and stuff.
