~14% at Platinum level

~27% at Supernova level

these numbers seem way off. Isn't platinum a 200% fpp bonus and supernova is a 250% fpp bonus?

[/ QUOTE ]

yes, but when you translate it into goods in the store, it comes out to that much.

example-

17000 fpp for an ipod nano 8 gig is $250 or $275 with tax (plus shipping)
13 fpp per dollar at platinum =$1308 paid in rake

275/1308=21% rakeback

it all depends on what you buy, if you go with the cash out option it is less than this example, and i think that is what i used for my original post.

you know it gets reset in january right? just make sure you hit platinum for december so you can start the new year at full speed FPP gathering.

I just switched to Stars. FT = rigged

I see Stars FPP points as a bonus. I'm pretty frugal so the 2k a month a make in rakeback never gets spent and I would probably not buy a 52 in plasma with it. With Stars, I reward myself for putting in the hours.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that.

I know its more a mind thing though. I'm sure I will miss rakeback, but I like Stars so far.

Not trying to get into an argument over percentages, but I did happen to breakdown some popular items by what they're currently selling for on ebay. I think the $275 you're quoting is a little high.

Ipod Nano 8GB - $212 w shipping BIN - 17000 pts = .01247 per pt

IPOD 30 GB Video - $170-$185 regular, $175 BIN - 20000 pts = .00875 per pt

Ipod 80 GB Video IPOD - $300-$325 regular, $310 BIN - 26000 pts = .0119 per pt

$285 Bonus - 25000 pts = .0114 per pt

Samsung 20" Monitor - $375 incl tax - 36000 pts = .0104 per pt

$650 Bonus - 50000 pts = .013 per pt

Concierge Service ($3000 item) - 180000 pts = .0166 per pt

Granted, with the ebay items I was being conservative in my estimates. I suppose an 8GB nano might sell for $275, but I wanted an estimate of what I knew I could get for it so I went for an average based on completed sales. Anything extra was gravy.

Still, using your formula, my calcs have rakeback averaging closer to 14-16%, even for the nano. That squares with what you already said Platinum equates to. I'm not sure how you came up with 13 FPP's per dollar, though.
