Re: Is this complete spew
yep you're right but for some reason I always try once or twice in a session. Most of the time its not worth it so ill discipline myself and play more abc unless I have a big read.

Re: Is this complete spew
Given the size of his c/r you have no fe v better hands so this is actually a value/protection raise more often than it will be a bluff(or at least a successful bluff).
You need some history of him screwing w/ you/being a maniac in general to make this play for value/protection. Given you didnt have any history or read as such it's a pretty spewy push. Paul |

Re: Is this complete spew
This type of play only works against villains you know like to mess around. If I had seen villain limp, call a pf raise, then cr a c-bet a time or two before, I might play back at him, because I'm not gonna let anyone f#ck with me. I would't do it without a read, though.

Re: Is this complete spew
Much more likely to work if the check raise is smaller (say to no more than 3x the size of the c-bet) - without a read, this size of raise usually wants to play for stacks.

[ QUOTE ]
Don't try to 'outplay' anyone at NL$100 unless you have a read they they are very solid. Optimal play at NL$100 against typical players is probably very close to 100% straightforward play with little to no trickery. (I do not consider C-bets or semi-bluffs as 'trickery') [/ QUOTE ] The perfect answer [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] |
