mrkilla (and others), thanks!!

yeah, that's my experience, some dead games at niagara and some crazy, stupid games (which ishould be good, but not sure i have the stomach or the bankroll and very hard to know where you're at - loose, passive as per ed miller's book are so easy to beat. i realize ed's SSHE is limit not no-limit)

when i was there two weeks ago, they had an excellent 10/20 limit table going... seemed like everyone could afford the limit and a few donators (also, some off-duty dealers or casino mgmt types from from elsewhere, my guess only, who were somewhat loose pre-flop but very good post-flop)... anyhow, this 10/20 limit was great by almost every criteria (people were very enjoyable). do they run it more often now? i'm going to make sure i start a list for it next time i'm there.

If you put a list up for a mid limit game I will be on it and get about 5 players to get there names on it to. (if yo are talking seneca) as a note the weekend of the 8th/9th/10th Seneca is holding a 520 buy in event. Should be some decent action

Seneca ownz Fallsview. Easier to get a seat, more fish and free drinks. Free parking, too!

prk, is it fishier at seneca? i'd always heard the opposite... would love your feedback?

everything but the fish comment is true. But it depends on how you see things.

Fallsview - the "fish" are aggro and trying to give money away by putting there stacks in as fast as possible. But you need to buckle up.

Seneca - more losse passive types , with some donks trying to give it away.

Also what game are you playing, these are generally hold true for all the NL games the opponents get a bit more agro as you move up the limits at seneca and ALOT more at Fallsview (doesnt mean they got good hands they just like to PITTM)

The Limit games are donktastic in either casino but none go higher then 5/10 (sometimes a 10/20 at flassview )

FWIW I play there everyweekend or every other weekend (including this one)

What he said. :-)

Couple other notes. I play the 2/5 NL once to twice a week at Seneca Niagara. Its a pretty sick game. Expect most limped hands to be 5-9 handed to the flop. Preflop raises typically go to the flop 4-6 handed. People think nothing of calling a $35 raise with any 2 cards.

This is simultaneously awesome and horrifying. Your swings will be huge because the fish hit a big hand on occasion. Nevertheless its a very good game and I regularly profit. You just have to be patient and push when you get solid edges. (I'm up about 2.5K in the past 2 months over about 10 sessions.)

The 1/2 NL game is harder because you only start w/100 (50 BB). The players are much more conservative and typically short buy. There is a lot less limping and most everyone folds to PFR's. I only ever play this game if 2/5 is not running or is full.

I've played Stud there. Its $1-5 spread limit. I played for 1/2 hour waiting for 2/5 and made $3. :-) Its where all the old timers hang out. Expect to play about 10 hands an hour. Here's how it goes.
Deal 2 down, 1 up. Old dude #1 at the table squints and ponders each card. 30-90 seconds later he limps for $1. Old dude #2 does same, etc. 4th street comes, more squinting, occasionally a $1 bet...

Kill me now.

I played the 3/6 limit Omaha/8 one night for about 1 hour when waiting. Great game, no one had a clue. Limp, call, call, call, showdown every hand.

The table I was at was pretty entertaining. Maybe it was just that night but boy were they pissy when they lost a hand. I almost saw a fight break out when a guy called down and hit a flush to beat a flopped set. Seriously, they were going to "step outside" for like a $26 pot.

Anyways, you can't go wrong with Seneca Niagara. If you're there look me up. I'm the guy that always wears shorts, no matter the temperature.
