Tampa's first drive is a good example of variance in football.

On the third play of the game, Tampa faces third and long. Gradkowski is under pressure, and there is a blatant hold on (I think) Dallas' left defensive end. The hold goes uncalled, and gives Gradkowski a chance to roll right out of the pocket. Gradkowski runs for a first down, and Tampa scores a touchdown six plays later.

Variance isn't just fumble recoveries and opponents missing field goals, it's bad penalties and uncalled penalties as well.

Yeah that was a hold on Ware, Dallas's hybrid LB/DE in the 3-4. It was also the safeties fault for that blown coverage.

Ware is a monster. Similar player to Merriman. Are you sure it was him on that play? He usually lines up on the defensive right, but he is on the left sometimes.

Which play, the long completion to Galloway? I'd like to see that one again to see if Roy Williams got burned (as usual).

LOL I think he was joking because Aikman used their middle names.

Cruel irony that Joe Buck and Troy Aikman have four girls and no boys.

Romo's doing great today, and they have a weak schedule coming up (only good team is NYG). Going to pick him up for FF.

Everytime I see Romo I am really impressed. He has a gun. Gets rid of it quick. Mobile and good awareness in the pocket.

I also like the fact that he doesn't try to force balls under pressure, e.g. Bledsoe / Simms.

How 'bout them Cowboys! Looking like they should move up in the forum's NFC rankings this week. I would put them #1 in NFC right now because they appear to be a complete team. Bears fans, look at your quarterback throw the football. Now watch Romo...sorry guys.
