My family visited some distant relatives when I was about 6 or 7. They had a well on the back porch and an outhouse. The well was actually pretty neat and had very cold water. It was a pipe probably about 6 or 7 inches in diameter and the bucket was about 2 feet long and just fit in the pipe.

This is one thing I don't understand either. I always use a TP/Babywipe combo at home.

It's funny, because if anyone had feces anywhere else on their body they would not be content to merely wipe it off with dry paper.

Ive used the water gun thing for 2 years. Its also fun spraying mosquitos that are flying around while I am sitting there

Yay for the bum gun - weirded me out first few times, but then I was vaguely missing it when I returned to the west.
