Saying it is more likely to work in a sunday tournament is completely false. Players are worse and will stack off with alot here. This only works against decent players, which I thought the reraiser was.

This move is not made because a guy is afraid to risk his tournament life, u got it wrong he was chip leader.

I love that you are using the fact that the guy was chipleader as an excuse for putting a 3rd raise in preflop. at 100/200 a25, why would he be reraising an EP bettor with a marginal/bad hand. The blinds clearly don't mean [censored] to his huge stack.

It's a bad play, and I wouldnt advise getting tricky like this until after blinds/antes actually matter, and you have a hell of a lot better read then "he has a lot of chips, hes kinda loose".

after all the money goes int these stacks are pretty shallow.

so if you check raised a half pot bet he might call getting 4.5 5 to 1 just for the hell of it.

this is not supposed to be about the play preflop. And you are wrong, its not even worth going into b/c from ur post u don't understand the logic behind the play. Both players in the hand were 100% convinced i had kings in the chat afterward and wouldnt believe i had 85 so clearly my play was good.

if the first raiser is a donk than the big stack is probably raising for value (though it could be thinnish value - if its ahead of the raiser's range.)

i dont think its aweful but i would guess the big stack has at least a medium strength hand.

so how did it play out. i think you gotta push the flop mainly because your read is that big stack is not that strong.

this was my thinking and i think correct.

i'm gonna wait to post results cause i wanna see if anyone has any arguments for checking with the intention of raising or betting turn if checked behind. specifically, if u check will he ever bluff push a better hand or will he bet half pot with those. Or will he even push an underpair and u can check call? Whats his range if u check and he pushes?
