no, I mean villan should have value bet the river allin himself. WTF is he check calling for. He checks not to induce a bluff but becuase hes afraid of being beat. Yet he calls anyways, as he should. This is bad, becuase there are alot of hands we will call with on the river that check behind once checked to.

If villain assumes a lone J called the reraise on the turn and the assumption vs a passive player (who did not show strength anywhere) may muck any J at river pressure wouldn't a check raise be the most valuable play (given this read)?

I just don't see getting paid by a worse hand in most cases. I doubt villain is checking the flop and check-raising turn with a hand that pays you off/you beat. You leave yourself no outs by the shove.

passive players check all jacks behind here and are almost always more likely to call some bet than bet if checked to.

Seems obv. villain likes the 9 on the turn, and when you call its obv. that you either don't care if he has a nine or don't believe he has one. Villains check sure looks like he gives you credit for a nine, so what other hand do you think he could have that he could call with, other than a worse nine? A rly good spot to check behind.
