Generally the rock is just an agreement to straddle when you win the straddle, but the player that has it is under no obligation (other than not being a jerk/nit) to put it back in play. |

i play 1/2 nl w/a 5 rock in dallas. the room puts the 5 rock into the first pot, and it is a forced straddle every hand no matter where you are. e.g. if you're OTB, everyone has to call 5 to come in, or can raise, and you still get last action(after SB and BB). it creates a lot of action since it is really a 1/2/5 game where last action is usually in some weird spot.
