[/ QUOTE ] This definition is decent, although it misses a few other 'floats'. For instance if villain bets on the flop, weak turn bet and you raise with air (or gutshots and the like). Or the NOT recommended OOP float. They all work on the principle of calling in a earlier to street to bluff at the pot on a later street. |

The main advantage of the float is that against predictable opponents it is a bluff much more accurate than raising their cbets, since they always give up in the turn if they have nothing, but wwhen you raise their cbets you are just hoping he has air. Again, it works only against predictable opponents, good opponents will 2nd barrel you and checkraise your float sometimes. |
