I don't give a [censored] about that. I don't let go of my cards until either I have the pot or they are face up on the felt.

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] An interesting hand took place at my local casino last week. We were down to 5 and ON THE BUBBLE(!!!) and a guy pushes allin over the top of the pre flop raiser. The PFR is deliberating calling but the allin player thinks that he's folded and throws his cards towards the muck (but they are not actually lost in the muck). The floor rules that the PFR gets to double up off the allin player even though he hadnt actually called the allin, leaving allin guy with 300 chips! Needless to say, he wasnt very impressed and busted soon after. Such a sick way to bust on the bubble as he had quite a decent stack! Is this ruling standard? [/ QUOTE ] It is only standard in casinos that are unfamiliar with poker. [/ QUOTE ] Or allow players to chip-dump. |

Yea, I thought it was a bit [censored] up at the time too. No idea why he thought the PFR folded, but i'm 99.9% sure they were'nt colluding.
What would be the correct ruling? Just give the allin player his cards back as they are easily retrievable? Or rule that the mucked hand is dead, but only give the PFR the chips that were in the pot before the allin move? |

Give the hand back. Robert's states many times that if a hand is identifiable, the spirit of the game is to be honored.
