Oh - and the fact that I nearly broke myself in my last job by trying to work 10 hours a day and playing poker in the evenings. Something had to go and I was making more playing poker. It made sense when I was made redundant in January not to get another job.
It wasnt a [censored] job I was in either, trainee solicitor so I dont want to hear any jokes about working in MCdonalds. Wages are low in N.Ireland. A fully trained solicitor with 5 years experience could only expect to be on around 25-30K. My annual income (including benefits) was far more than that this year. But Im [censored] it now cos of the pathetic [censored] at Fulltilt. Down $1K today - mostly on river beats when Ive been ahead the whole hand. I have £2.5K set aside as a cushion to live on but my roll has now dipped below $10K. [censored] full-tilt has ruined me. If I get a proper job that will be me finished with poker as I need to have time for the family as well. At least playing poker meant I was in the house and able to bring my kids to school in the morning and all the other great freedoms that come when you dont work 9-5.

I am a winning player and my results for this year show it. I have had 1 losing month in last 4 years and no losing months so far this year until this month (there is time to pull it back this month but I doubt it).
