Re: BIG river decision
[ QUOTE ]
Looking at his stats, he almost has to have QQ here. 78hh is not even an option with someone who only raises 6% of their hands preflop. [/ QUOTE ] I like QQ, but then this guy needs to be considered an a-hole for not realizing his Queens aren't worth [censored] here. |

Re: BIG river decision
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Why are we 3 betting sean? This is a crying call and nothing more. Of course if I am wrong, I eagerly await the explanation so you can edumacate me. [/ QUOTE ] So, how often do you see a solid player capping the turn with a flush draw? [/ QUOTE ] You don't normally. But if I trust the read that this guy is not a maniac, you have to assume he knows the flush is out there, and he has seen our straight from the get go.....why would he be raising unless he has no fear of any of it. Unless he is a total donk I see no reason not to trust him here. [/ QUOTE ] I would be in shock if villian turned over a flush here? Don't forget about the BB padding. |

Re: BIG river decision
Let's get the basics down 1st and bet the flop. Checking is bad for 2 reasons.
- If he has overcards he might not bet - If he has an overpair you want to trap the people in the middle |

Re: BIG river decision
my thoughts...CO thinks he set over setted you here on the turn. QQ is the only thing that I can put him on with that turn cap given his stats, preflop and flop. Dude, aint capping the turn on a draw! So I dont think this guy has a flush and I dont think he thinks you have a flush or straight since slowplaying is all the rage at 0.5/1.
folding the river would be a crime against good poker. I dont see this as a crying call at all. its a good call and a call you must make. |

Re: BIG river decision
I think psychologically, some players repeat "no heart, no heart, no heart!" in their heads so intensely that easy calls look like devastating ones when a heart actually does fall on the river. I'm not accusing the original poster of this, but it's something to consider.

Re: BIG river decision
I cannot begin to imagine folding for 1 bet in a 22 BB pot, particularly in light of the fact that you may well be ahead.
I think he could have KQ hearts or, as others have said, QQ, or possibly even a lower set. I don't see this as a crying call because QQ is possibly even more likely for a preflop raise (from this tight-ish preflop player) than KQh. That said, he's not going to fold (duh) and it's too risky at this point to go for a value raise, so call. I am very certain that you didn't fold this, right? |

Re: BIG river decision
Anyone care to postulate on BB's holdings? He's been calling the whole way. He had to be on the draw, no? Maybe a baby flush thats afraid to raise here?
either way, as I said....its a call |
