capone0's system is highly advanced. You see, he takes the number of wins a team has, and he ranks teams by that. His advanced system tells him that the Colts have "won" 2 more games than everybody else, hence the spaces....

Colts beat the Broncos and Pats on the road.

They have beaten 4 top "10" teams, 3 of which have been on the road. Beating the Giants, Pats and Broncos on the road is pretty damn impressive. The #2 NFC teams and the #2 and #3 AFC teams.

If you want other Gaps. I think there is a huge gap between the top 5 and the rest. So I'd do it like this.

Colts

Broncos
Pats
Ravens
Chargers

KC
Jacksonville

Cincy

Jets

Buffalo
Pittsburgh
Miami
Cleveland
Tennessee
Houston
Oakland

This who I'd think would win on a neutral surface.

Also I know KC beat the Chargers. KC might be part of the elite. KC owns the Chargers at home, doubt they will be nearly as good in SD later this season.

PF,

Did you watch the Falcon's game? You can't even blame Vick's stats on him. He lost 7 receptions and 80+ yards to drops.

I got the WAS-DAL game.

The Falcons always drop a lot of passes. Even Crumpler, as good as he is, gets stone hands occassionally. You can't give Vick credit for those drops and selectively ignore that some of his touchdown passes happened when the defender fell down with the ball in the air or missed an easy tackle at the five yard line. Several of his touchdown passes over the last two weeks were a product of poor defending more than Vick's passing. It's all a part of football.

Maybe his stat line should have been better yesterday, but that's a pretty normal stat line for Vick. My point still stands - 2 good games doesn't mean that Vick suddenly "got it."

Hey, keep that AFC crap out. I don't care about your vastly superior "American" conference.

Do you not do AFC as well? If so, why not.

As an Eagles fan, I watch a lot more NFC games than AFC games. So I have a much better feel for the NFC.

And if I'm going to start a thread every week, I feel like I should contribute something other than a quick ranking, hence the comments and polls. I enjoy doing them, but it's time consuming.
