Re: Microwave reheat: how does it know?
The sensor reheat button is one of the best inventions ever to happen to single men.

Re: Microwave reheat: how does it know?
the popcorn sensor works by detecting the humidity in the microwave. im not sure if this is how the "reheat" button works though and now im kinda sad b/c my microwave doesnt have that feature.

the turntable has a weight sensor built into it? [/ QUOTE ] w. t. f. I have a really cheapo microwave, so no reheat, but it does something similar for defrost. No matter how much time you tell it to do, it'll stop when it senses the food is defrosted. |

Re: Microwave reheat: how does it know?
I'm going to take a guess, but microwaves use microwaves, not infrared.

[ QUOTE ] I'm going to take a guess, but microwaves use microwaves, not infrared. [/ QUOTE ] LOL [/ QUOTE ] Infrared is heat. Microwaves cause the water molecules to bounce around, which causes them to heat up. They are at different wavelengths and different energy levels. But you knew that. |
