What percentage was it/ how many shots did you have?

I find it just gets you battered rather than makes you hallucinate most of the time.

What is this Everclear I hear of? I hear it can make you blind, is it good?

Everclear is just pure grain alcohol, unflavored and uncut by any sort of additive. As such, its (typically) around 190 proof (95% ABV) and absolutely horrid. I wouldn't recommend drinking it straight unless you want to injure the lining of your throat.

eggegg,

Is this thread your big coming out party? Stick around, and don't be afraid to use this site's emoticons either. Mat's feelings get hurt when he sees foreign smileys.

Absinthe is so good but don't expect any hallucinations or anything. It's just herby liquor. I think that the main reason it's not served in the US is the wormwood. I just don't know why.. the amount that absinthes contain thujone is so small.

Real absinthe doesn't exist anymore. I remember reading an article from Wired about a guy who was trying to recreate the original recipe.

Wrong.

Does exist.

In fact, exists using the exact same copper pipettes used by a couple of the more esteemed houses of fin de siecle wonder years.
