I agree and really dont think I should enter this pot if I have a hand in which raising would produce a negative expectation.

Raising can produce a positive expectation and still be wrong if it is less than the expectation of just calling.

I voted "Call" only because there was no raise option.

Yeah, but this is *you* and in a vaccuum that doesn't make it a good move.

I would define worse by ranking here and my somewhat arbitrary cutoff given that data is around K9s. Obviously some hands play much differently and I'd be much more willing to raise A6s than A9o, and 22+ more than ATo, but with bad limpers, the button, and some rudimentary handreading postflop I'm basically never limping AJo given the information in the OP. I'm planning on winning this pot so I'm getting my chips in there.

Big unsuited, unconnected cards do not play very well in large multiway pots because in general they will make one pair and one pair is not enough to win often times in these pots. But folding it is obviously wrong. So calling is correct.

Hands like TT+ don't win enough unimproved to make raising worthwhile because they're only 1 pair? Not to mention that if someone flops a pair and I have an overpair, they have 5 outs, rather than having someone flop a worse Ace when I have AJ.

TT+ has set value in multiway pots and also can win unimproved, the combination of those two makes raising worthwhile.
