Extreme nit nurses his big stack, opens with KK+, AKs+

In other words, live, against Hellmuth. Online, not so much.

[/ QUOTE ]

Even Hellmuth opens like 99+ AJ+ otb, thats a pretty unrealistic supertight range.

the only question is to ask what you lost to

[/ QUOTE ]

The Villain folded, then proceeded to ask me what I had:

villain: what did u have may?

mayesie: I had a strong hand

villain: me too. I can't believe you'd go all-in without a pair

Not sure where you're sarcasm is directed, but do you contend that AK, KK+ is a realistic range for a button raise from any person with a pulse?

Push 77-KK, AK,AQ,AJs without hesitation. Make a 3x reraise with AA.

Satellite qualifier not wanting to bubble a live event and wanting to go home to his wife and friends.

It'd have to be a very extreme situation, and the cards would have to be flipped upwards.

No, it wasn't quite sarcasm. Still learnin' here.

Ok I probably misunderstood a bit your posting tone, I can certainly imagine someone being weak tight to a reraise or something, but I dont see anyone in any non sat tournament open fold TT or JJ or AQ on the button with a good stack.

All-in is fine. You are ahead against his range. Especially the situtation you described above makes this push madatory in this situtation.
