Re: Some ING questions
Brett, ING has a $25 bonus for referral sign-up. $25 + 4.4% for 11 months won't outperform 5.05%, but it is something to consider. Especially if you end up pulling it all out before the break-even point (somewhere around 9-10 months I think).
If you want an ING referral, PM me. I get $10, you get $25 (min. $250 deposit). A friend of mine has an account with both ING and Emigrant. ING he keeps his minimum balance and is for his referrals and Emigrant is for performance. |

Re: Some ING questions
Damn, should have asked him for the ING referral first.
I guess going just depositing $250 for the $25 bonus into ING is the best right now. I think you need to have it there for only 30 days (correct me if wrong). Then after that, you can ship your $275 and change to emigrant, with the rest of your monies. |

Re: Some ING questions
Just wanted to bump this thread to say that I opened my e-loan savings today. It was very easy, as I hooked it up to my ING account. So for anyone who was wondering, it's just one simple step with no other transferring of funds involved. $5k minimum, FDIC insured, over 1% higher than ING.

Re: Some ING questions
I currently use ING and am very happy with the user interface and it is extremely easy to setup and use.

Re: Some ING questions
Another question about ELoan here, does it function as a regular bank or do you pretty much have to do everything through another account.
What I'm getting at is this devious little plan that had formed in my mind, at my job I get a bi-weekly expense reimbursement via direct deposit. Generally I don't have to pay off my credit card for a couple of weeks to a month after the money hits my account. I currently recieve this direct to a BofA savings account and pay the card off with an account transfer as well...I'm wondering if I can just sub an ELoan account in here and pick up some interest on my expense money between credit card payments. I didn't see a routing number anywhere on the site which makes me think no, and I can always move the money by hand once a month but this would be so convenient. Edit: After further research it appears that ELoan will not take deposits from outside your linked account. Emigrant has a routing number though, any idea if they let you pay bills out of it? |
