Taking a Bath...yay or nay?

When I'm sore I like to sit in a hot tub for a while, but the dirty water grosses me out so I shower right after.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who prefers the bath. And about not fitting in the tub, standard. I'm only 6' tall and I haven't been in a bathtub big enough to fit me since I was about 10 I would guess. I'm forced to play the upper body/lower body game where I have to strategically time my switches from upper body out, legs in, legs out, chest in so that I don't get cold.

As a funny aside, and the reason I'm out so soon, my cat was walking along the side of the tub (standard) and dipping his paw in the water. Again, standard. He does this all the time and then shakes his paw to dry it like he's surprised by the water. I was in the midst of the "upper body" phase of my bath with my head in the water and eyes closed when I was awoken by splashing. Turns out the cat fell in, and scratched my side on his way back out. Fortunately he was smart enough to jump out the way he came in and not climb me for safety.

Oh, and also, I am a bit of a shower freak and do shower a minimum of 3 times a day. Morning, home from school, before bed. If I work out I shower again. If I go on monkey tilt, I shower. So about 3-5 showers/day. Thus sitting in my own filth is not a problem for me, and I'm sorta wondering about those of you who are sitting in your own filth. Perhaps it's mostly psychological?

Taking a bath is in no way 'feminine.' That is just silly. I haven't taken more than two bathes in the last ten years. However, I find them really really relaxing when I actually have done it. The main reason I haven't in the last 4 years is summed up in one word: College.

No way I'm showering in OTHER people's filth. Because you KNOW my roommates probably jack off in the shower. I get pissed at them just knowing they might. Dirtballs.

Anyway, showers are definitely the best way to go unless you need some relaxation and dont have some goofy fear about sitting in 'your own filth.' It really isn't any different than being all sweaty on a hot day...In fact it is much cleaner. Do you guys not play basketball on hot days either?
