Re: Online Poker a Chore
I've been self employed three times in the past where I started out -loving- it, but it became monotonous.
The thing with being self employed is you set your own hours. If you don't do it for the love of it you will slack once you don't need the money. I think the most successful people in any trade are the people that aren't doing it for the money. |

Re: Online Poker a Chore
yes online poker is boring, very boring.
You have to have balance, me personally I am only real motivated when I'm running hot. Otherwise its just the general grind, I aim for about 1000+ hands a day now. If I can get to 1500 I am very happy with myself. I think it becomes really boring when you play too many tables without doing anything else. I mostly play 3-4 rarely 5-6. Throw in some chat a bit of browsing, some tv here and there and yeah I manage. I try to put my time in now so that in 1-2 years I wont need to play as much. And hopefully in 5 years it'll just be 2-3 days a week. |

Re: Online Poker a Chore
There was a point a week ago or so where I was just totally sick of playing poker. I couldn't explain it, but I took a few days off, and it went away.
I had been playing about 2k hands per day. |
