Honestly, I just don't think I can pull the trigger and raise the turn. I would probably call down. I guess I'm a bit skitish, because 1 pair kills me more often then not. If the maniac 3-bets you...then what?

If he's a real maniac (like reraising with just a J, 8 or fd) I like to raise the turn since he won't slowdown anyway.
If he slows down, I call the turn and raise the river. You only really fear the king hitting everything should be fine (except maybe some straight-cards). |

[/ QUOTE ] You can't be certain he'll bet again for you on the river, and he's pretty likely to call you down (in my experience, maniacs tend to be showdown-monkeys). I don't see any reason to give him a chance to get a cheap look at the river. Go ahead and pop him on the turn. |
