I have the following DBs:
1) NL shorthanded 2) NL fullring 3) Limit shorthanded 4) Limit fullring 5) MTT 6) STT 7) My First Pokertracker DB - This is my default. I can't tell you how many times I started importing without opening up the appropriate DB. With this as my default, I'm able to easily export these hands when I do make the mistake without any worries of messing up the other DB's. I'm a freak, I know |

[ QUOTE ]
I used to have everything in one db, but that db was getting big and slow when I wanted to analyze my ring stats for example. So the idea was to keep each db a more manageable size that wouldn't take too long to analyze stats with, etc. I have also purged the observed hand db's of the lower limits that I no longer play to keep them more manageable in size as well. [/ QUOTE ] I just create a new DB each month now, with the new caching feature in PAHUD you can link multiple database together and it adds stats together. So in my new DB I may have 10k hands and my old database my consist of 5million hands and on the table the stats of the players will be combined and you'll still see lets say 15k hands on a player. This allows me to see and analyze my game each month and it doesn't take forever either. |

If the screen names are different at each site, there really is no reason to have separate DBs. If you use aliases, checking the site name in PT "preferences" shows ONLY the hands for that site. A single Postreg DB should suffice for played hands. Observed hands, I would still stick in a seperate DB, just because.
