here's one that not a lot of people will get Back in 1990, a well-known mathematician is supposed to give a lecture at a local university. When asked about what he would talk about, he said he'd present a proof for Fermat's last theorem. However, when he arrived, his speech was about greater probability theory. The organizers of the event later asked him why he said he had a proof for Fermat's last theorem, to which he replied: 'Standard practice.' |
