Stop Drinking The Two-Party Kool-Aid!!

Without knowing anything in particular about any particular candidate, I generally vote this way:

1. The Libertarian candidate.
2. If no LP candidate, another independent candidate.
3. If only Republican and Democrat candidates exist, the non-incumbent.

[/ QUOTE ]

I understand the reasoning for 1 and 2. Could you explain the reasons for 3?

Am I the only one that gets annoyed/(thinks that most of the time they should be moved) by partisan threads in here?

Neither Party. I don't waste my time voting because I understand that, as is evidenced by this bill, the "power" a citizen has over its government is an illusion. Neither party is in it for you. Democrats did nothing to stop this bill. I'm not going to waste my time standing in lines to validate any of these clowns.

You're an idiot and you deserve everything you get from your government.

I firmly believe the people get the type of government that they deserve. There were a few democrats that were opposed to the bill... but they COULD NOT vote against it. It was attached to Port Security which has been part of the national agenda. It's something all Americans have been concerned about. To vote against it would have been political suicide for any congressman. What good are they to any of us if they get themselves knocked out of office by some political hack republican that would take advantage of that voting record to instill more fear into Americans and use it to "prove" that the democrats don't want to protect them...

I don't think I've ever watched a full episode of Oprah. My mom had it on a lot, so I've seen bits and pieces when I was little. It is interesting from time to time, especially when they have big stars on. I'd never watch it now though.
