Had you bothered to read the date or contents of this article you would have realized it's completely outdated.

This was from nearly 4 months ago.

But thanks for the memories...

You've missed the point.

This is the second time you've made this reply without adding anything to it. Would you care to expand on it for those of us you feel "missed the point"?

Because it's obvious and anyone that nits the post for being dated in July has missed the point of why Frank is the OP's hero.

First of all, it's not outdated. These comments were made about the same legislation while it was in a different form. Frank opposed the language and has for his entire career.

The point is that he should be celebrated by this forum for a decfade of opposing this legislation--because what he said in this speech very well represents the overwhelming majority of 2+2.

I would encourage everybody to write him a quick e-mail.

I love this speech. Problem is, he's getting way too philosophical to resonate with anyone practically. Take that whole speech and apply it to smoking crack. Almost all of it still applies.

Someone who votes in his district should meet him and talk to him about sponsoring some legislation to exempt poker.

When is he up for reelection? I'd probably give 2:1 he doesnt get reelected, making way to much sense to be in politics here.

He is a US Rep and is a lifer. The question is how often has he shepherded through successful legislation. Also, does he sit on a House Committee that can do anything about this?
