From what I saw at Commerce over our trip, stud/8 is a staple in all the mix games. I saw BOTE, EO, ET, ORE, BORE at different times and different limits from 1/2 to 4/8.

this rumor is incorrect.

1) i saw ted forrest playing 1k/2k HU mixed in the AM hours after day 1 of the borgata wpt event

2) i played 3/6 OE with ted forrest

3) i played 5/10 holdem with ted forrest

4) i was in a 2/4 holdem game. ted forrest said if we bump it to 3/6 hell play. we couldnt get a unanimous vote so he left.

correcting some facts.....

ted is not busto, not even close. he has a ton of money outside of his poker bankroll, this is a fact.

he possibly could be short on cash in l.a. and sometimes won't borrow on the road, but this is doubtful as well.
he was probably just doing what he wanted (playing small, short, whatever) he defintely does "his own thing" at all times, why else do you think he is called professor backwards?

i don't know about the gus hansen prop bet that he won't play big, but this very well could be the case.

ted's real first name is not ted. it is william.

also, it really annoys me that you would state ted forrest as being busto almost as if it were fact. youre basing your statement on virtually nothing. you saw the man playing 400/800 and yet think hes shortstacking 20/40nl because hes not rolled for the game? obviously thats ridiculous unless he lost a major chunk of his roll in the 4/8. maybe he didnt think it was worth his time to grind 20/40nl with a deep stack. maybe he just wanted to get some experience playing with a shortstack for when he plays hsnl and there were no better games worth playing at the time. maybe he just likes to donk around at low limits sometimes and 20/40nl is low for him. i know plenty of people who like to donk around at 1/2nl from time to time, yet i guess they arent busto but if ted forrest sits in a 20/40nl game he clearly is.

ted forrest has a very reputable reputation in the poker world. i see no reason to diminish it based on the bs reasoning youve just listed. if you were to use a question mark in your title instead of an exclamation mark your post would at least be a bit more fair.
