[ QUOTE ] yeah, wtf is up with the 6x BB raise? [/ QUOTE ] if you want to give your hand away you're on your own here [/ QUOTE ] 6x BB preflop raise is standard for me with any PP and any mid SC's. In no way does it give my hand away. |

Re: Does he really have a King? (aka...God hates Aces)
What's everyone's problem with his 6xbb raise. If he always opens for that amount it doesn't give away any information.
Re the hand- I had pretty the same hand the other night. Many will often call down all the way to the river with another pocket pair. I'm likely to flip a coin on the turn. Either check call or bet again. A lot of players don't believe you on the flop but might on the turn. |

Re: Does he really have a King? (aka...God hates Aces)
Why is the PF raise so big? I think the flop bet should be atleast 10, but that's not uber important. As played, this is WA/WB, and if your description of villian is correct, I would c/c turn for sure and likely c/c river if the bet is less than 2/3 pot. I do not like a river block against this type of player. Try and get to showdown here.

Re: Does he really have a King? (aka...God hates Aces)
I check this flop a lot for pot control OOP, its WA/WB stuff.
So it is a check call for me on the flop. Assuming it goes check/check, then its $10 on the turn to see what happens. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think a flop check here is bad. Especially vs a villain willing to take a shot at you, your basically telling him you didn't like the flop. I Bet a bit more on flop, check/call turn, 2/3rd PSB on river is my standard line here. Villains almost never fold QQ-88 here. |

Re: Does he really have a King? (aka...God hates Aces)
So do most people like c/c turn b/f river with river bet about 1/2 pot?

Re: Does he really have a King? (aka...God hates Aces)
I personally would check the turn and if he bets, call. and if he doesn't bet i would lead out the river with about 2/3 the pot because at this point i'm sure i have the best of it.

Re: Does he really have a King? (aka...God hates Aces)
Sure but he's prolly not calling this flop to check behind on the turn.
Hence if turn goes c/c what is best river action? b/f? c/c? |
