i only watched it for the first time recently, and i agree. it's not just a "movie you should see".

I don't understand how Ghost World and Bottle Rocket, movies that most people have never even heard of, can be called "overrated". I mean every movie has some people that overrate, and some people who underrrate. These are just people that disagree with your opinion of the movie. I don't see how movies that in general have almost no following can be called overrated.

MOST people have never heard of any of the movies i cited. why would you isolate those two? i think bottle rocket is the only dubious one, but most of my peers have at least heard of it and most of them really like it. almost all of the others i listed are hailed as the second coming of christ by their fans. i saw ghost world because of its universally emphatic critical acclaim, for example, and it is easily among the worst movies i have ever seen. princess mononoke is over 90% on rotten tomatoes too, "everybody" loves it, and i STRUGGLED to not turn off the dvd.

I thought LOTR 1 lived up to the hype.. the last two were disappointing.
