I would have checked the flop, then pushed over him if he bet as weak as you did. If he bet big (committed), then I'd just fold.

I don't think you represent any decent ace when you limp and then open after the flop with barely half a pot. You bet too much for a set, I think, so he's going to put you on exactly what you have, a weak ace at best. If I was him and had AQ or AJ, I'd make you play for your stack right now.

no CR? i suppose you are kinda deep, but im assuming villian is a donkey because of his stack and call PF, i would expect him to bet and it seems like there is more value there.

His huge raise and huge stack basically pot comitted himself to the pot. Since he limped from early position, you must assume he has at least a big ace, if not a set of 9s or (less likely) a set of 4s made. You are probably going to find yourself at the very best, be a slight underdog in this pot. I would fold, unless I have a read knowing he is tricky agressive / or can lay down a big hand (like TPTK to a big 3rd reraise all in).

How can you fold even if you're a slight underdog... what about the pot odds?

I play it the same way. Btw you should have an idea of what he's limping with there if you've played with him before.

looks all reasonable to me although I'd probably check the flop, but really either seems fine.
