You can usually refer to Pinnacle as having "the market price" for a game, so they don't care if you bet at other places if you get a bad number. In fact, Pinnacle makes a good amount of money placing wagers at other books!

I think very few people know this report even exists. I don't think this affects much at all and as rjp said, they make money betting at other books as well.

For example, mansion let 5000 people wager a no risk $1000 bet on the Steelers in week 1. All mansion has to do is offset it by betting Miami with other sportsbooks and they come out even. I can tell you they were hoping Pittsburgh won that game. They come out even because they win their Miami bets at the other books but they gain a whole bunch of new customers.

How do they come out even?

I took it to mean even, as in financially the result didn't matter.

I've scalped around 20 bets with Pinnacle this year (I'm looking forward to football!) and they have come up as 50/50 between Pinnacle and the other books, but this a larger sample does Pinnacle come out ahead? Are they setting up their lines to have an adverse affect on other books?

[/ QUOTE ]

When a scalp exists, Pinnacle is almost always making money and the other book has a bad line. I do about 10 scalps a day at Pinnacle, at lose an average of 6-7% of my total volume.

Yes. This is why I meant....or at least that is what I would have done if I were running it. Even was probably a bad word as they still have the choice of how much to "insure".

The gain was tons of new customers.

How do you find all of those?

I wish I could pull that off but I need to figure out a better way to find them . At least now I know it is possible.

How big is that sample size? Could you make more by just not taking the Pinny line or would it crucify your ROR?
