I would call. Most likely hand is a heart draw, followed by Kx.

I'd really, really like to swim agaisnt the tide here but I can't see any reason not to call this. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, a ginormous overbet like that will VERY RARELY be a 9 that's hoping that a K will pay it off. If I have a 9 there - I flat call and hope that a K thinks that I have a heart draw... |

[/ QUOTE ] Of course, SB has reason to put us on a king here. If we haven't got a king or a pair of aces, he's not getting much more out of his nine so pushing here may well be the most +EV play because, after all, the unanimous decision is call. BTW, this is still a call. |

Call, the push, although there is no reason to believe SB couldn't have a 9. The push could be a flush draw, a 9, a king, a small pair, or nothing.
Preflop, I would raise a little more. He completed and you made it 3xBB. On the flop, I might check this. With the paired board and having TPGK, checking has some merits. I might just check/call this all the way. |

I started thinking "if villan were a good thinking player, what hands would he push here?" The only thing I can think of is a draw (to win either by fold or drawing out) or a nine hoping to get called by a K that thinks its good. Against an average player, I would expect to see a draw, weaker king, PP below King and even absolutely nothing before a 9. I would call. |

I really thought there would be more "fold" responses, my 1st thought before i called was he has a 9 but called anyways.
