What year is that quote from?

Who are the biggest winning, and who are the losing players in the Big Game currently (i don't mean the fish with big money here, but the top players)? Jennifer really that good, one of the very best (yeah, they are limit games...)?

Hmm? I've only recently started playing NL, nothing against limit or women or whatever. But I know that Jennifer's strength is in limit games, and what I saw at HSP and read at barrygreenstein.com, it's obvious that her NL game isn't at the same level.

I suppose she's great at several different limit games because she does well in the BG and coached Antonius recently in some limit game that I can't recall right now (anyone?), so he could start playing in mixed games like the BG.

Didn't know Doyle was a loosing player in the Big Game. Barry gives him 7 at limit, and 8 to Jennifer. In NL Doyle got 8, Jennifer 6. How old are those ratings? I hope to see more players included soon (ok, barryg1?).

Edit: quote added

Why would an action junkie like Andy Beal have insisted on playing limit hold-em head-up?

[/ QUOTE ]because HU limit has a ton more action than full ring. and depending on your temperment it also has a lot more action than NL (more rasing, less folding, however you miss out on the occasional insanely big pot)

Because he's not a poker player?

because the regulars just split their wins/losses. this creates such low varience. and if they are smart enough to think of that little edge then i'm sure they are capable of finding lots of other advantages (moral or immoral). to reach the heightest levels of poker you need to be an expert hustler. "Chip" might have the smile of an angle, but is capable of having the heart of devil (for monetary gain). the top hustlers are capable of anything. Doyle states in his own words "i'm am not a saint"

Is there an article saying he cheated? I never heard of this

[/ QUOTE ]

Russ Georgiev used to accuse Doyle, Chip and many other big names of cheating all the time, on rec.gambling.poker.
